Quantum Photonics

Quantum states of light, such as Fock, N00N, or squeezed states, are valuable resources for quantum metrology, quantum communication, and quantum simulation. Photon states can propagate long distances through fibers or free space without suffering decoherence, and therefore constitute a privileged quantum information carrier. In QUTIS, we are interested in photonic quantum technologies for quantum simulations and quantum metrology, among other aspects, involving, e.g., the implementation of artificial life and embodied evolution in quantum states of light, as well as a novel quantum RADAR technology that employs microwave electromagnetic quantum states.
